Welfare Information

Support

Our welfare department take care of matters such as counselling, visitation, member/family support and employment. Our welfare officers will:

 

  • Make contact with all absent members to ascertain reasons for absence, encourage and where necessary, support throughout.
  • Make contact with and provide practical support following birth of a baby, sick, on admission in hospital or bereavement.
  • Make referrals to counselling (DAYCC or if serious, refer to MIND).
  • Where employment/job support is required refer to relevant part or website.
  • Signpost other areas of specialist advice information and support.
  • Maintain a spreadsheet record of all support provided including visitation.
  • Present activities at meetings and highlight any trends or concerns.
  • Liaise with administrator to issue letters and cards.
